Zerkalo Film Festival opens in Ivanovo region

The Zerkalo international film festival, which bears the name of  director Andrei Tarkovsky, begins on Thursday, June 25, according to TASS. By tradition, it takes place in the hometown of the famous director.

The opening ceremony will take place in an old brewery of Yuryevets, Ivanovo Region.

The festival is held every year, for almost 15 years of its existence, it has become an important event in the cultural life of the region. The film screenings are usually organized in Ivanovo, Yuryevets and other cities in the region. This year, the coronavirus infection pandemic made its adjustments. Due to restrictions aimed at combating the spread of the disease, the festival program will be held online on the Tvzavr online cinema, the opening ceremony will be held without guests.

The ceremony will be hosted by actor, director and producer Alexei Agranovich and actress Ksenia Rappoport. The competition program includes eight films, including features by Fernando Valadez, Artem Aisagaliev, Janis Rafa and others.
