Vyacheslav Nikonov: Lenin has no equal in explosive impact on fate of Russia and the world

20.04.2020

This year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Lenin. On the eve of the anniversary, Eksmo Publishing House issued a book by a famous politician and historian, the head of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, the chairman of the board of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Vyacheslav Nikonov entitled “Lenin. The man who changed everything".
The author examines in detail the life path of Lenin, his formation as a professional revolutionary, leader of the world's first socialist state and the world proletariat.

Nikonov uses documentary and archival material to demonstrate Lenin's personality, his unique leadership style, the inconsistency of ideas and actions, a fanatical commitment to the idea of communism, the press service of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science stated.

“Lenin was going to reorganize the life of all mankind,” says Nikonov. - It is difficult to name a person who would set tasks of comparable scale. And he succeeded in many ways. The Communist Party ruled in the USSR for 75 years and continues to sit in the State Duma.

He created the first state in the world that called itself socialist. He was the demiurge of a new social model - the dictatorship of the proletariat and the economy subordinate to the state - without property and religion.

Ilyich created the world communist movement, which was the most important political force on the planet in the 20th century, which gave rise to many parties that ruled and continue to rule now - in China, Vietnam, North Korea, and Cuba. ”

The author did not ignore the most controversial pages of Lenin's life - “German money”, relations with Inessa Armand, participation in the organization of terror, relations with Stalin and Trotsky. The book contains little-known and even adventurous plots of Lenin's biography.

The book is intended for a wide range of readers.
