80th anniversary of liberation of Leningrad celebrated throughout Russia

130 events, including exhibitions, concerts, lessons of courage, theatrical premieres and film screenings, will be held in Russia this and next year to celebrate the Lifting of Leningrad Siege, Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova said in her telegram channel.

Conferences, round table discussions and forums, exhibitions in leading museums, theater premieres and film screenings, concerts, classes for schoolchildren and many other events will be held to commemorate the dreadful leaf in Russian history.

It is planned to open new and repair memorial objects that perpetuate the memory of the siege survivors and the defenders of the city. The Minister of Culture stressed that the significant date would be celebrated throughout Russia.
