Leading Moscow theaters to go on tour to Kazakhstan

Tours of the Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater, the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, Sovremennik and Masterskaya of Petr Fomenko Theater are planned in Kazakhstan this year. Exhibitions of leading museums in Moscow and St. Petersburg are also expected. Ambassador of Russia to Kazakhstan Aleksey Borodavkin spoke about cultural events in Kazakhstan with the participation of Russian theaters and museums, Sputnik reports.

The diplomat said that this year would be rich in tours and would be marked by several anniversaries, including the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic war. Tours of the leading theaters of Moscow and Russia are expected, as well as exhibitions from the collections of the Hermitage, the Russian Museum, and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

According to the ambassador, the ministries of the two countries are currently coordinating the Days of Russian Culture in Kazakhstan. 

The Yevgeny Vakhtangov Theater, which opened a series of tours of Russian theaters in Kazakhstan, presents its best productions of recent years - Eugene Onegin and Uncle Vanya. The visit takes place within the framework of the Big Tours federal project.

Borodavkin called cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the field of culture a two-way street. He stated that the tour of the Astana Opera Opera and Ballet Theater in Krasnoyarsk and St. Petersburg was very successful, next year it is planned that the leading theater of Kazakhstan will present its performances on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater.
