The book Confidential: Middle East on the stage and behind the scenes by Yevgeny Primakov in Turkish was presented in Ankara. The presentation was held as part of the International Book Exhibition, TASS reported. It was timed to the anniversary of the outstanding politician, statesman, diplomat Yevgeny Primakov. One of the biggest events of the fair was the On the 90th anniversary of Yevgeny Primakov: Russian-Turkish relations - shaping the future conference. In addition, a photo exhibition dedicated to the history of the life and work of Primakov began to work.

The new edition was launched by the Russian Embassy with the support of the Russia-Islamic World strategic vision group.

The ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexey Yerkhov said that he was familiar with Primakov and worked with him. He expressed confidence that the politician would be satisfied with the development of relations between Moscow and Ankara. The high level and effectiveness of cooperation is confirmed by the agreement on Syria, which the leaders of the two countries concluded a few days ago.

Primakov’s important contribution to the development of the modern multipolar world was also noted by the Turkish participants in the conference.

Russkiy Mir reported that Yevgeny Primakov passed away in the summer of 2015. In the nineties of the last century, he led the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Russian Foreign Ministry, then headed the Government of the Russian Federation.

The Russian Society of Political Scientists has established an award named after the politician. It is awarded for the contribution to the development of Russian political science. The Government of the Russian Federation issues to the students of Lomonosov Moscow State University Lomonosov and MGIMO new scholarship, which bears the name of a diplomat. The monument to Primakov is installed in the capital of Egypt.
