The 250-pages book on Soviet female artists published in London. It uncovers style and life of such remarkable artists as Liubov Popova, Lidiya Masterkova and Zinaida Serebriakova, sculptor Vera Mukhina, Costume designer and  artist Aleksandra Ekster, TASS informs.

Written by Ivan Lindsay and Rena Laver, Soviet Women And Their Art book covers the period from the end of WW1 and pre-Revolutionary Russia to Gorbachev’s Perestroika and the dissolution of the Soviet Union. According to Ivan Lindsay, the book reveals virtually unknown topic to the British readers. Currently, not so much known in the UK on  USSR women artists in USSR achievements. Meanwhile, Soviet women were much more successful fighting for their rights in society than those on the West, according to Lindsay.
 
According to the Russian art expert Anna Kanunnikova, Soviet female artists have their very own style and innovative ideas. The British publishing will hopefully make them more recognizable in the UK. 

The head of the Unicorn Publishing Group Baron Strathcarron said that as of now there were 2000 books printed, one thousand is sent to the American continent. Apart of thet the publishers are going to translate the book to Chinese and get rights to publish it in China.
