Memory Marathon project, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, has been launched in Germany by Officers of Russia organization and Desante.V community. In the course of the project, the historical YouTube channel Berlin View will become an archive of videos about monuments to Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War and World War II. Organizations from Russia, Poland and a number of German cities have already joined the project, the Russkoe Pole newspaper reports.

The project organizers offer volunteers, representatives of compatriots' organizations and historical clubs, as well as all who wish to visit monuments in different countries glorifying the feat of the Soviet soldier, to make a short video about them. The video must show the current state of the monument and tell the story of its history.

The authors of the project are convinced that the videos will interest compatriots (especially children and young people) and foreigners, and attract the attention of local authorities to the state of the monuments and graves of Soviet soldiers on the eve of the 75th anniversary of Victory.

Three short videos have already been shot and posted on the Berliner Blick site. They include the plot for the 70th anniversary of Berlin's Treptower Park, as well as videos about the Baruth Memorial Cemetery and the first battles for the liberation of Berlin.

A number of public organizations of Russia, Germany and Poland have already declared their readiness to join the action. In the near future, activists in Austria and Holland plan to join the work.
