Turkey-Russia Cross-Year of culture and tourism is launched

Turkey-Russia cross-year of culture and tourism is launched in Historical stage of Bolshoi Theater on Monday, April 8th, RIA Novosti reported.  

According to the Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, each event included in the program will promote historical heritage of Russia and Turkey. The head of the ministry is sure that the  cross-year will promote touristic of both countries and strengthen relations between Russian and Turkish people.  

The Year of Culture will include few dozens events, including exhibitions, musicand drama performances. Turkey has become the honor guest of the Moscow international festival. The Russian Cinema Week will take place in Turkey. Tretyakov Gallery will bring its art collection to Istanbul.

Let us remember, the cross year of Russian and Turkish culture was opened in Bolshoi with The Troy opera by Bujor Hoinic on Monday, April 8. Among the spectators will be the leaders of both countries, Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan. The head of the Ankara Opera and Ballet Theater Murat Karahan has directed the opera. He also performed one of the main parts.
