At the heart of the libretto is Homer's Iliad. Karahan recalled that Troy was located on the territory of modern Turkey. He called the inhabitants of the country the heirs of this story.

The performance will involve almost three hundred people. The opera have been staged in Turkish, subtitles have been prepared in Russian and in Japanese for the convenience of the public.

“This opera has become not only a unique product of technical achievements and spectacular decisions, but also a carrier of our distinctive musical culture,” said Karahan.

According to him, the participants of the production tried to convey the Turkish flavor in universal standards, keeping the balance with originality and traditional forms of ballet and opera, understandable to the public in different countries. The director expressed the hope that the Russian audience would enjoy the play.
