The UN resolution on human right alleged violation in Crimea will not have any legal power, Interfax cites Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the upper chamber of Russian parliament on foreign affairs. This way the official commented on the Ukrainian document supported by the UN Third Committee. It condemns the alleged human rights breach and Russian legislature, jurisdiction and rule in Crimea.

The senator reminds that the resolution is adopted the third year in row. He says it is an example of a pointless document.

Even its heading keeps a non-existed territorial term – autonomous Crimea Republic and the city of Sevastopol.

Kosachev assures that Kiev does not care about the real political situation on the peninsula. The Ukrainian authorities want to point out at the occupation, and their mentors in the West are willing to demonstrate their dominance.

The document is elaborated not for Ukraine but against Russia. As the West needs to justify sanctions which becomes harder to find.

Moreover, none of the declaration's authors has been to the Crimea to find out the real status quo.

The resolution is adopted distantly without regarding the real state of affairs, the official adds.

Meanwhile, the document was supported by 67 delegations. It is three less than last year.

The human rights ombudsman in Crimea Ludmila Lubina notes that these resolutions repeat the same unproven facts every year. She claims that there is no evidence for these statements. The authors should visit the Crimea themselves to see there is not any violations.
