Three Russian journalists killed in Central African Republic

Three Russian journalists were killed in an ambush by unidentified assailants in Sibut, CAR, TASS reports. Russian MFA confirmed that three people with IDs belonging to Orhan Dzhemal, Alexander Rastorguyev and Kirill Radchenko had been found dead. Their bodies were brought to the CAP capital Bangui. 

Russian Embassy is working closely with local police on this tragic case, it also engages in arrangements to transfer the bodies to Russia. 

Russian MFA has informed that journalists didn't inform Russian Embassy in CAR on their stay in the country. MFA representative has stated that relatives of the perished will get all the necessary help.  

Investigation Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on murder. Russian investigative authority is ready to help their colleagues in CAR. 

Russian journalists went to Africa to make investigative documentary on the activities in Africa of so-called Wagner group, an organization of private military contractors. 

According to the only surviver, the driver of the crew, armed group emerged from the bush and opened fire on the vehicle.
