International organizations and OSCE must blame Kiev for pursuing the politics of restricting freedom of speech, Russian Foreign Ministry believes.

Official Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova expressed hope that people taking part in this forum must criticize the outrageous violation of rights and freedoms of the journalists.

“Apparently, Kiev’s authorities has been systematically infringing rights of journalists feeling full impunity for their actions due to absence of strict reaction of the international community. This politics leads to further deterioration of the freedom of speech and expression of opinions in this country,” Zakharova said.

Note that the Ukrainian authorities banned the two Russian journalists – Evgeny Primakov and special RT correspondent Paula Slier, from participation at OSCE conference on Freedom of the Media. RT journalist was refused to enter the country only this time, while Evgeny Primakov cannot come to Ukraine for 5 years.

OSCE representative on Freedom of the Media Harlem Desir has already expressed regrets regarding bans of the Russian mass media to enter the country, RIA Novosti informs.

Representatives of foreign media have many times been oppressed by the Ukrainian authorities. The last sensational case connected to restriction of freedoms was the case of Editor-in-Chief of RIA Novosti – Ukraine Kirill Vyshinsky. Now he might get 15-year imprisonment. Following the results of the UN observation commission report on human rights at Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry has requested to be correct at forming informational content and drastically review the attitude to foreign journalists.
