A session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum took place in Morocco, TASS reports. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov took part in it. He was joined by colleagues from Morocco, Palestine, Yemen, Bahrain, Sudan, Lebanon, Mauritania, and Egypt.

In the final statement, the participants proclaimed the need for a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine, noting that resolution of controversial issues and crises can only be found through peaceful means and through comprehensive dialogue.

The heads of the foreign ministries called unacceptable any attempts to justify the war against the Palestinians of Gaza. In their opinion, it is necessary to create a multilateral mediation format aimed at resolving the Palestine issue. The event participants highly appreciated the efforts of Russia on the Palestinian issue.

Arab countries also pledged to protect the sovereignty and unity of Syria. Ministers supported freedom of navigation in the Red Sea. The parties spoke in favor of expanding economic ties between member countries of the League of Arab States and Russia.
