Youth Delphic Games of Russia kick off in Vladivostok

17th Youth Delphic Games of Russia started today in Vladivostok, RIA Novosti reports. More than 2 thousand participants aged 10 to 25 years old have gathered in the Primorsky Krai capital. The symbol of the current games is the bridge over the Gold Horn Bay.

The program includes classical, folk and contemporary arts. There are more than 30 nominations, such as Culinary, TV Journalism, Arts & Crafts, Dance, Music Instruments Performance, and so on.

The participants to be judged by panel of judges, consisting of 80 recognized masters in their fields.


The Delphic Games are a legal successor to the Pythian Games that were conducted from 582 BC in Greece. After Olympic Games, the Delphic Games were revived in XX century under UNESCO Patronage. There are 115 countries participating in the International Delphic Movement.
