EU Russian-speakers Alliance has made a statement concerning the growth of Russophobia in the world at the session in Limassol, the BaltNews informs. The alliance called the European countries "for abandoning the confrontation and Russophobia and finding a way for stable relations with Russia." They have also reminded that about 7 million Russian-speaking people live in Europe.

"We want the countries of the EU Russian-speakers Alliance to become a bridge between the European Economic Alliance and Russia," the message reads. EU Russian-speakers Alliance's members have noted that they are very concerned about the growth of Russophobia in the world.

The meeting participants paid attention that one of the most unpleasant recent events is amendments to the Law on Education in Latvia, which imply destruction of the Russian schools. The alliance has remarked that silence of the West in relation to this fact means deep contempt to everything which is related to Russians.

EU Russian-speakers Alliance is very indignant about decisons on expelling Russian diplomats from the majority of countries of the European Union, as this could entail a serious military conflict and further deterioration of the relations between Russia and the Western world.

EU Russian-speakers Alliance called the Western countries for leaving the confrontation with Russia and choosing to solve the conflict by a way of a dialogue based on mutual respect.

EU Russian-speakers Alliance is an association of public figures of the Russian-speaking communities of the European Union and the European Economic Community which comprises 27 countries.
