Comparison of FIFA World Cup to be held in Russia with the Olympics of 1936 organized in the Hitler’s Germany is unacceptable, according to the official spokesperson of the Russian MFA Maria Zakharova. In her words, such claims are inappropriate for the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the European country, RIA Novosti informs.

This was the comment on Boris Johnsons’ statement who heads the British Foreign Office. He agreed with one of the English Parliament members stating that Vladimir Putin is going to turn FIFA World Cup into a PR campaign like Hitler did with the 1936 – Olympics.

Russian Foreign Ministry has reminded that millions of our people sacrificed their lives in the deadly war against fascism liberating own territory and the territory of Europe of that brown plague.

It is evident that the UK follows the only purpose of creation an image of the enemy under the most absurd pretexts. Maria Zakharova has emphasized that the British politicians are going to boycott the tournament at all accounts.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson has mentioned that if the picture on the Skripal’s case is not clear, everything is crystal clear with Boris Johnson who is saturated with poison of hatred, spite, unprofessionalism and rudeness. “It is scary to think that this person is a representative of the political establishment of the nuclear superpower bearing special responsibilities for its actions at the international arena and for maintenance of peace in the world,” Maria Zakharova added.
