Representatives of the Immortal Regiment All-Russian movement and their counterparts from Armenia, Israel, China and Switzerland met in Geneva to hold a round table at the United Nations’ headquarters, according to TASS.

The central topic on the agenda was combat glorification of Nazism and Neo-Nazism in the modern world. According to the State Duma deputy Nikolai Zemtsov, who is, at the same time, co-chairman of the Immortal Regiment movement, such alliance of people is necessary now. He has stated that those who remember the WWII heroes and honor the Great Victory should unite. Zemtsov has expressed hope that all 133 countries having signed the UN resolution to combat glorification of Nazism and Neo-Nazism will manage to come together to celebrate 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in 2020.

UN representatives have done their obeisance to the Immortal Regiment project and underlined that the contribution of the participants of the campaign from all over the world is hard to overestimate. The Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky has underlined that it is absolutely logical if the project gains an international status and widens its boarders to its maximum.

The coordinators of the Immortal Regiment, in their turn, talked about the organization of the campaign in their native countries and shared their experience.
