Maslenitsa in London markes its anniversary

The concert Maslenitsa in London dedicated to the 19th anniversary of the namesake festival called a success, RIA Novosti reports.

Audience was entertained with music of various genres, beginning from Samson and Delilah arias to popular classical melodies and Russian folk songs.

Students of Russian schools, music groups from London, recognized musicians such as Michail Turetsky group Soprano and vocal band Quatro participated in the event.

The representatives of Moscow Culture Department have marked that contemporary and traditional Russian culture can unite people around the globe.

Annual festival Maslenitsa is conducted in London since 2009. It is is justly considered one of the most popular Russian cultural events festivals in United Kingdom. The festival is conducted with support of Russkiy Mir Foundation.
