The British intimidated by Russian football fans again

09.10.2017

© Russia-2018 Organizing CommitteeBritish police have warned citizens about extreme level of violence of Russian football fans, Lenta.ru reports.

According to the head of British police department Mark Roberts in charge of security at football matches, Russia has problems with misbehavior of football fans. He is sure that Russian law enforcement bodies will keep the situation under control in the course of World Football Cup.
The police officer has explained that British fans may say very insulting things sometimes, so they should be less aggressive to avoid risks of clashes with Russians.

It is worth reminding that this week a documentary by Alex Stockley von Statzer about aggression of Russian football fans was shown offering a version of possible mass clashes in our country with fans from other states and with the British, in particular.

Our fans recorded a song and a short interview in response where they reminded that Russia is a friendly and hospitable country so there is nothing to be afraid about at World Football Cup-2018.

As the Russkiy Mir Foundation reported earlier, relations between fans of Russia and Great Britain have been aggravated after serious mass clashes in summer 2016 in Marseilles at European Championships.
