Musicologist, classical music journalist and producer Mikhail Fikhtengolz has accepted a post of the music director of the Zurich opera theater.

Mikhail is a recognized opera singing expert. He has worked as a program director at the Bolshoi Theater and at the Passover festival headed by Valery Gergiev. At the beginning of 2014 he has signed 2-years contract with the Baden State Theater. At the same time he was appointed as the opera theater director and creative director of the International Handel festival in Karlsruhe.

"I believe that the past experiences were essential for me to move forward and take a director's post in the one of the most important opera houses in the world," said Mikhail Fikhtengolz at the press conference.

He will start carrying out his functions starting from August 2018.
