Tallinn prepares for Dovlatov Days

Dovlatov Days Literature festival program in Tallinn was just revealed. The festival will take place in the Estonian capital on August 25-27, Err.ee informs. Wide range of authors, Sergey Dovlatov works' appreciators and those who just started getting engaged with his brilliant stories will participate in the event.

Writer's friends, such as Zvezda magazine chef editor Andrey Ariev and documentary filmmaker and St. Petersburg Dovlatov festival organizer Lev Lurie are going to be present. They will talk about Dovlatov's life and his favorite city Leningrad. Russian–American writer and cultural critic Alexander Genis, the author of non-fiction novel Dovlatov and his Environs will share his memories of Dovlatov's life in America.

Within the framework of the event, Aleksander Florensky's exhibition is planned. Florensky was the Dovlatov's favorite illustrator. The festival will conclude with Dovlatov Marathon concert at the Russian Theater. Well-known jazz musicians from Tallinn, Moscow, New York and St. Petersburg will play the favorite writer's compositions.
