Russian goalkeeper to become NHL most valuable player

Sergei Bobrovsky playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League is to become the most valuable player at NHL Hart Memorial Trophy, TASS reports. Following its results, 28-year old goalkeeper has been acknowledged the best NHL player by number of missed goals per game in average. His score is 2,07. Bobrovsky has also become the best player by percent of saves. His score is more than ninety three. He played in seven matches this season and did not allow any goal in his gates.

This is the first nomination for such a prestigious award for the young goalkeeper. Besides, he was a nominee of the prize for the greatest goalkeeper of the season – NHL Vezina Trophy.

Sergei Bobrovsky is the most well-paid player of the team. He signed a five-year contract with the club for thirty million dollars two years ago. He was a goaltender of the National Russian Team at 2014 World Championships, when the team won gold medals. He was named the best goaltender of the World Championships that time.
