Russian hockey player Pavel Bure is included in the symbolic team of the Vancouver Canucks National Hockey League club of all time, compiled by the Canadian TSN TV channel. The Russian played in the Canadian club from 1991 to 1998, TASS reports.

TSN experts put Pavel Bure in the top three forwards, calling him "the fastest player in club history." For eight years of playing in Vancouver, the Russian gained 478 points in 428 matches, scoring 254 goals. Bure became one of the leaders of the club in the very first season of the NHL and was named the best rookie in the league. Three years ago, the hockey player was included in the list of the 100 greatest league hockey players.

After leaving the Vancouver Canucks, the forward, nicknamed the Russian Rocket in the NHL, played at the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers, remaining one of the league’s most successful players. He won a gold medal of the world championship as part of the USSR national team, as well as awards of the Olympic Games.

After completing his overseas sports career, Pavel Bure returned to Russia. In 2016, the hockey player renounced American citizenship.
