Eight suspects of committing St. Petersburg subway blast arrested

Security forces arrested eight people during the investigation process of criminal case of St Petersburg subway explosion, according to RIA Novosti. The Investigation Committee representative Svetlana Petrenko has advised that there is a woman among them.

Ministry of Internal Affairs and Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation conducted two special operations. As a result of them six people were caught in St Petersburg and two people were arrested in Moscow. They are suspected of terrorist activity in St. Petersburg.

According to Petrenko, national security forces arrested Seifulla Khakimov, Ibragibjon Ermatov, Dilmurod Myutdinov, Bakhram Ergashev, Azamzhon Makhmudov, Makhamadyusuf Mirzaalimov, Shokhista Karimova and Sodik Ortikov. A similar bomb like the one found at the Ploshchad Vosstaniya was discovered during their flat check. Ministry of Internal Affairs officials withdrew weapons and ammunition as well. Court session will be held in the closest future and all the suspects will be arrested after that.

Russkiy Mir Foundation informed earlier that St Petersburg subway blast was executed by Akbarjon Dzhalilov. The investigators suppose that he left the second hand-made bomb at the Ploshchad Vosstaniya metro station. Fortunately, it was timely found and disarmed.
