130 countries participate in St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) opens on June, 14 and will last for four days. High-ranking participants and delegations from Russia and a number of countries will discuss issues of sovereign development as the foundation for a just world, RIA Novosti reports. More than 17,000 people from 130 countries have confirmed their participation in SPIEF. The main guest country is the UAE.

Traditionally, the main event of SPIEF will be the plenary session, at which Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to speak. This year, the forum has prepared five thematic sessionsdedicated to the topics of the global and Russian economy, technological sovereignty, the labor market and other global issues.

A separate session will be dedicated to the return of compatriots. The discussion will take place on June, 14,  the ways of making the resettlement to Russia easier, the creation of a ''Russian card'' and other issues will be discussed there.

The vast SPIEF program also includes the B20 Regional Consultative Forum, the Youth Economic Forum and other significant events with international participation.

It is expected that the forum will be attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Qatar Sultan Rashed al-Khater, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Abdullah al-Marri and other distinguished guests.

It is planned to hold business meetings with business representatives from the Arab and Latin American states of Latin America, ASEAN, India and China.
