Children from 38 states applied to study at St Petersburg University online school

120 state-funded places have been allocated in the online school of St. Petersburg State University for children of foreigners, TASS reports. 

According to the rector of the university, Nikolai Kropachev, the university will cover the costs of their studies. The rector also called on other universities to join this initiative.

More than 180 applications have already been sent to the school. They came from 38 countries. More than 50 were sent from Latvia, about 30 - from Kazakhstan, 13 - from Uzbekistan, nine - from Canada, and eight - from Romania.

Applications will be accepted until July, 10.

The university said that the school program meets all standards, it has no differences from a regular school, except for the format.
