RT DE Production has filed a complaint to the court against the decision of the German MABB regulator, TASS reports. The company demands that the ban on the broadcasting of the RT DE TV channel in Germany should be lifted.

According to RT Deputy Editor-in-Chief Anna Belkina, RT DE Productions does not broadcast not only in Germany, but in any other European country. Meanwhile, the regulator's decision states that it is RT DE Productions that is responsible for broadcasting the channel in Germany, so the license must be issued by the German authority.

Belkina explained that the company only produces content for the RT DE TV channel. The channel has all the rights to broadcast in Germany, as well as in 32 other countries. RT assured that the license had been issued in accordance with the law, in full compliance with all regulations. RT DE TV channel will continue broadcasting from Moscow.

As Russkiy Mir reported, according to the German authorities, the broadcasting license, which the media outlet was supposed to receive under German law, was not received and was not requested. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia indicated that the TV channel received a license in Serbia to broadcast via satellite. And this fully complies with the European Convention on Transfrontier Television. Germany has acceded to this convention, the Russian Foreign Ministry specified.

Russia stopped broadcasting Deutsche Welle on its territory in response to the RT DE ban. Moscow will also draw up a list of representatives of those structures that are related to blocking the broadcasting of the Russian TV channel. They will be banned from entering Russia, the MFA said.
