The Stalingrad 1942-1943 exhibition has kicked off in Beijing, TASS reports. It is dedicated to the history of the Battle of Stalingrad, which became a turning point in the Great Patriotic War.

According to the special representative of the Chinese government for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, it is very important to preserve historical memory, to prevent historical falsifications.

The Chinese diplomat thanked the Russian people for their help during the Second World War in the fight against Japan.

After Japan started its offensive in 1937, the Soviet Union sent its instructors and specialists to China, and provided large-scale military and technical assistance. More than 5,000 Soviet citizens worked and took part in battles.
