Exhibition of works by Russian female artists opened in The Hague

12.12.2020

An exhibition of works by 3 Russian artists has opened in The Hague. It started working on December 11. An exposition titled “Air, Light and Color. Three Russian Artists in the Netherlands ” brings together the works of Larisa Belous, Svetlana Mozhaeva and Olga Tolstova. They all now live in the Netherlands.

More than 60 works of art are presented to the public. They are made in the technique of impressionism and realism. Exhibits include rural and urban landscapes, portraits and hand-painted batik. The feminine principle, beauty and energy of nature, which permeate the work of artists, unite these paintings.

All three artists have previously studied the technique of the French artist Claude Monet. One of the founders of Impressionism lived for some time in the Netherlands. Now the works of Larisa Belous are in the collection of the Monet Museum, which is located in Zaandam.

At the exhibition one can not only see the canvases, but also touch the art themselves. The artists conduct family and individual master classes on making etchings, amulet dolls, matryoshka dolls, wooden spoons, and tumblers.

At the opening of the exhibition, Russian romance songs were performed by the talented singer Victoria Pankratova.
