Moscow leads as one of the best quality education cities

Russian capital is included in the leaders of the world education rating, RIA Novosti reports. Deputy Mayor Alexandra Rakova confirms that it is evident from the results of the PISA Global Competence assessment ranking conducted 2 years ago. Moscow pupils have the 4th position for Global Competence Test and were only one pass away from being the first in Financial literacy questionnaire.

Young students' attitude towards the global phenomenon and work in multicultural society were explored in the frames of the 'global competencies'. Also they were asked to analyze global problems. Moscow administration representative is very proud that young muscovites have entered top-5.  

More than 7 thousand high schoolers have completed computer assignments for the PISA test.  

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, Russian high schoolers occupy a leading position in the research of TIMSS and PISA. In the PISA ranking, which assesses the literacy of students and the ability to apply knowledge in practice, Russia has been consistently raising higher and higher, which may indicate an improvement in the quality of education in the upper grades.
