Road to Jerusalem Exhibition of Russian artists to be shown in 54 countries

The exhibition project Road to Jerusalem has started its three-year journey to foreign countries, Sobor.by information agency reports.

The exposition consists of the works of artists representing small cities of central Russia. They depict the beauty of the Russian nature, temples, historical sights, sketches from the everyday life of modern citizens. The exhibition is organized by the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society (IOPS), Rossotrudnichestvo and other organizations.

The exhibition started this spring in the town of Istra near Moscow, where the legendary New Jerusalem Monastery is located. The cloister recreates the complex of holy sites in Palestine. After that the exhibition was taken to lovers of painting of Mozhaisk, Gagarin and Vyazma.

In two days, the Road to Jerusalem will open in Minsk, and in early autumn it will be deployed in in the historic Trakai castle of Lithuania.

It is planned that in three years the exhibition will be seen in fifty-four countries. In mid-2022, the exposition will arrive at the end point of its journey - the city of Jerusalem.
