Ulaanbaatar hosts first Russian language festival

Cyrillic Fest linguistic festival, aimed at promoting Russian language among the youth of Mongolia, opened in Ulaanbaatar. The festival is organized by Ural Federal University and Sverdlovsk Regional Fund for the Support of Youth Initiatives. Participation in the festival, which will be held until July 13, can help schoolchildren and students from Mongolia to enroll in Russian educational institutions, TASS quotes the press service of Ural University.

Cyrillic Fest was preceded by online Russian language classes organized by UFU specialists. During the festival, which takes place on the basis of the three leading universities of Ulanbaater, participants will immerse in the Russian-speaking space through contests and master classes, as well as watching Russian films and acquaintance with Russian cuisine.

The first linguistic festival is held in the capital of Mongolia with financial support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. UFU is one of the leading universities in Russia. It consists of thirteen scientific laboratories headed by reputable foreign scientists.
