There has been a sharp increase in interest in classical and modern Russian literature in France, Elena Kondratieva-Salguero, editor-in-chief of the Glagol Paris literary miscellany, stated. According to the journalist, representatives of various literary camps and movements in France have noticed this. Kondratieva-Salguero explains this by the geopolitical success of Russia, Kultura TV channel reports.

According to the editor-in-chief, Glagol started about ten years ago as a magazine for publications of works of Russian Parisians. A few years later the concept changed. Glagol started to welcome Russian-speaking authors from all over the world, which made it one of the main platforms for authors writing in Russian.

Today Glagol unites a variety of genres, its pages contain prose, poetry, memoirs and journalistic articles, even works in the fiction genre. Some numbers of the almanac came out with the assistance of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Rossotrudnichestvo and private sponsors who are not indifferent to Russian culture.
