Russia and Mongolia to hold Days of Culture festivals in 2019 and 2020

Russian feature Khalkhyn Gol produced by Lenfilm is to be shot with participation of Mongolia. Next year Russia and Mongolia will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Khalkhin Gol battles. This and other questions were discussed by Deputy Minister of Culture Olga Yarilova and Mongolian Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Tsedenbal Tsogzolmaa, Ministry of Culture website reports. Russian and Mongolian sides have agreed to hold Days of Culture festivals in 2019 and 2020.

Following the meeting, Russian cinema week will take part in the frames of the Days of Culture festival next year in Ulan Bator and other cities of the country. Theater and musical troupes from Russia  to perform in Mongolia.

Khalkhyn Gol film is much awaited in both countries because it will put Russian-Mongolian relations to a new level. Note, the past Russian cinema week that presented newly made films, had a lot of success. 

Tsedenbal Tsogzolmaa met also with the Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva to discuss events for promoting Russian language in Mongolia.
