Fort Ross Dialogue starts on October 15 in San Francisco, TASS reports. Its participants will be Russian and American politicians, experts and entrepreneurs from both countries.

The venue of the annual international forum is the Fort Ross California Historic Park. Russian merchants founded this settlement at the beginning of the 19th century.

The forum will be attended by the head of the Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, California Governor Jerry Brown, Head of Chevron Oil Company Andrew McGrane, Governor of the Novgorod Region Andrey Nikitin, Vice President of Transneft Mikhail Margelov etc.

The forum will conduct discussions and seminars on major issues of the bilateral agenda, economic issues and interaction in various fields. Some business agreements between the two countries will be signed. The participants will cover a crucial problem of Fort Ross Park improvement.

Anatoly Antonov says that the main topic at the conference will be the establishment of contacts between the regions as well as economic cooperation.

The representative of the Russian Geographical Society Ilya Gurov called the development of youth exchange between Russia and the United States a key topic. He is convinced that Fort Ross will be an excellent platform for this.

According to Russkiy Mir, last year the Fort-Ross Dialogue conference was first held in Russia. Pskov and Izborsk hosted it.
