Russian children learnt peculiarities of actors’ job at Theatre Vacations in the US

The monthly results of the Day of the Russian language conducted in Washington have been summoned up. It included various festivals and numerous contests. The program of the monthly holiday was replenished with musical and poetic evenings, artistic exhibitions and meetings with figures of culture, according to the website of Rossotrudnichestvo.

Festival of Russian-speaking theatre troupes for children and youth is conducted for the 8th time this year. Apart from that, applied arts festival called the Arts Planet was held. According to organizers, these events turned into large-scale events for the youth of the Russian-speaking society of the United States.

Traditions of the festival movement Russian Language Through Theatre were continued by the project of Theatre Vacations in the USA. The Russian-Speaking pupils fond of theatre are joining the festival for the second time. The children learnt peculiarities of the actors’ job under guidance of professional teachers and the final concert was turned into a grand celebration for all the participants.

Russian cultural center organized a round table and creative evening for the project participants: teachers, stage directors of the Russian-language theatres, volunteers and everybody making their contribution into preservation of the Russian language and development of the Russian-language theatrical troupes.
