Russian An-26 plane crashes in Syria

Passengers and crew of the Russian transport plane fell victims of the air crash, which happened in Syria, RIA Novosti informs. The Russian An-26 plane crashed at the landing approaching the Khmeimim airport. As per the Russian Defense Ministry, the plane crashed today on March 6 around 3 p.m. As per the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation, there were 32 people on board. They all died.

The Ministry has established a specialized committee for investigation of all possible reasons of the air crash. According to the existing data, the air crash happened due to a technical fault, as there were no fire effects exerted on the plane.

According to the existing data, the plane bumped into the earth surface 500 meters away from the landing strip.
