Russia, Iran and Turkey prioritize cooperation areas on Syria

Russian President’s Administration  Leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey have made a joint statement after the negotiations held in Sochi, TASS reports. Hassan Rouhani, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have defined the key areas for cooperation of the three countries on Syria.

After the meeting with his colleagues, Russian president has claimed that definite tasks have been set to be resolved in future with participation of Iran, Turkey and Russia – countries playing the main role in Syrian questions. Parties have noticed considerable success in fighting international terrorism and expressed readiness to eliminate it in Syria in full.

Vladimir Putin has claimed that successful military operations resulting in full liberation of all Syrian territory reveal a qualitatively new stage in settling the crisis. Russia’s leader has expressed hope that stabilizing the situation in the country is long lasting which makes political arrangement of the state possible.

The parties have touched upon social-economical restoration of Syria. Vladimir Putin has acknowledged that the country needs to build infrastructure and revive agricultural sector. He has called the world community for qualitative improvement of humanitarian aid to population in Syria.

Wrapping up the meeting, Russian President has commented to journalists that the meeting was very constructive and he is satisfied with its results.
