Medvedev: No challenges frighten us anymore

19.04.2017

Ekaterina Shtukina/RF Government Press ServiceOil prices fall and imposed sanctions have not influenced Russian economy much. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev made this statement during his presentation in the Russian State, as per Ria Novosti. According to him, resources were saved very strictly last year, at the same time fresh opportunities emerged.

Despite strong outside pressure, we managed to look at opportunities from a different angle, stand against the pressure and advance our own interests in politics. When it comes to economy, we managed to realize new opportunities and react on crisis conditions creating new growth areas.

“We learnt to use the situation to our advantage when we faced competitive battle for leadership at the external and internal markets. No challenges frighten us today. The other way round, they motivate us to move on”, Medvedev declared. Prime Minister has underlined that at present we are not afraid of either sanctions or oil prices’ collapse.

Dmitry Medvedev remarked that we managed to find a new approach to all opportunities of the country and to understand that we should rely only on ourselves. He has also noted that confidence in our own possibilities pays off already. Economy is developing despite all catastrophic forecasts from different sources. Even those who dislike Russia see our progress.
