First Russian Central Bank representative office abroad opened in Beijing

16.03.2017

The representative office of Russian Central Bank started its work in Beijing, according to TASS.

Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov took part in the gala opening. Deputy Director of Russian Central Bank Dmitry Skobelkin and his colleague from China Ee Gan were present as well.

According to the representative of Russian Central Bank in China Vladimir Danilov, Beijing affiliated office has become the first foreign bank division abroad. They have never existed in any other countries.

The agreement between Russian and Chinese banks on the subject of opening the representative office in Beijing was signed last summer.

The main aim of the affiliated office is to boost collaboration with Chinese colleagues and other institutions in China. The affiliated branch will direct required information to them, help observe bilateral agreements, welcome delegations’ members and Russian Central Bank employees in China and render necessary services to them.
