USA to show movie about Russian Bogatyr

American distributor has purchased rights for distribution abroad Ivan Shurkhovetsky's film Legend of Kolovrat, as TASS reports. It's a story about incredible feats of epic Russian hero, bogatyr Kolovrat.

The movie plot tells the story about Evpatiy Kolovrat, the bogatyr from Ryazan. Together with his friends, he sets off to take vengeance for his love and his Motherland. His heroic bravery impressed even Batu Khan from the Golden Horde, and his name was imprinted in the people’s memory forever.

Such well-known Russian actors as Ilya Malakov, Polina Chernyshova, Alexey Serebryakov and others starred in this movie. The film project is cooperation of Central Partnership and Kinostudia Kit production companies.

According to Pavel Stepanov, the head of Central Partnership company, the promotion of Russian movies to the US markets is a big step on the way of Russian cinema popularization on the international arena.

Russian spectators will be able to see the motion picture about Russian bogatyr in the second half of this year. German, Swiss and Australian distributors purchased the movie rights already.

It should be reminded that more than seventy countries purchased distribution rights for 3D alien invasion sci–fi movie Attraction by Fedor Bondarchuk. This film is already successfully screened in Latvia, Estonia, Vietnam, and soon will be shown in 200 cinemas in Mexico and Brazil. Agreements with Indian and Latin American companies are signed too.
