More than 27 million trees have already been planted as part of the Memory Garden campaign. Planting trees in memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War began in the spring. The memorial campaign was supported by Russia and 35 other states.

The iconic 27 millionth tree was planted in Karelia. Local residents, together with police officers, planted young birch trees. The millionth tree will grow on the Path of Health.

The Memory Garden continues to grow. An event is scheduled for June, 20 in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill. It will be dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow.

The Memory Garden campaign became part of the program dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. Tree seedlings are planted in memory of Soviet soldiers.
