Memory Garden planted in Latin America, Asia and Africa

The Memory Garden international campaign in honor of Soviet soldiers who fell in battles with the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War were held on the eve of Victory Day in the regions of Russia, as well as Lebanon, Bolivia, Morocco, Laos, the website of the Moscow government reports.

Trees are planted around the world in memory of the fallen soldiers-liberators. Volunteers, members of the Russian diplomatic mission, took part in the landing in Lebanon. The event became part of the program dedicated to the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. 

In Bolivia, the planting took place in the square of  Santa Cruz. In Morocco, trees were planted on the territory of the Russian embassy, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission Vladimir Baibakov took part in the planting.

In Laos, the campaign brought together dozens of participants, trees were planted in memory of Soviet servicemen and home front workers.

On the eve of Victory Day, a garden of lemon trees in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War appeared in Ecuador. The planting was attended by Russian diplomats and compatriots, graduates of Russian and Soviet universities, as well as local authorities.
