The results of the Memory Garden campaign in 2023 were summed up in Moscow, Channel One reports. A linden alley appeared on Poklonnaya Hill in honor of those who sacrificed their lives defending their Motherland. 21 trees were planted near the Victory Museum.

Initially, the campaign was created to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. But today, the participants honor the memory of the heroes of the special military operation.

This year, more than 34 million trees have been planted as part of the Memory Garden campaign.

According to Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko, the Memory Garden is becoming more and more popular both in Russia and abroad. It unites people of different generations, wherever they live, those who have kept in their hearts the memory of the heroism of Russians, the heroism of the defenders who liberated their country and other peoples from the horrors of the Nazi occupation. The Deputy Prime Minister is sure that Russia would not allow anyone to rewrite history.
