The Nutcracker ballet, which has long become a symbol of the New Year and Christmas, was very warmly welcomed in Bangkok, TASS reports. The production was brought to Thailand by the Jacobson Ballet Theater. The tour of the Russian team began the day before, on December, 20. It is taking place as part of Russian Ballet Week.

According to the tour organizers, the performance is distinguished by its multimedia decorations. First Deputy Director of the Yakobson Theater Lydia Zernova called it an amazing experience. According to her, the theater used such decorations on tour for the first time, and it turned out quite interesting.

The performances of the Russian ballet troupe were accompanied by the Bangkok Royal Symphony Orchestra. The conductor of the Mariinsky Theater Valery Ovsyanikov took the place at the conductor's stand.

Next year, the Jacobson Theater is planning a large-scale Chinese tour.

The Russian Ballet Week will continue in Phuket. This island is very popular among Russian tourists; thousands of Russians live there. The dancers will bring two ballets by Tchaikovsky in Phuket: Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.
