The Russian Foreign Ministry considers the new package of European sanctions to be useless attempts to put pressure on Russia. Moscow called these actions unfriendly and illegitimate. They contradict international law, the department stressed.

In response to this step, Russia expanded the list of those who are prohibited from entering the country. The list includes representatives of various EU structures and officials of European countries: representatives of law enforcement agencies, commercial organizations, as well as those EU citizens who are involved in providing military assistance to the neo-Nazi Kyiv regime, etc.

Moscow assured that any unfriendly actions by Western countries will continue to include a timely and adequate response.

The 12th package of anti-Russian sanctions includes almost 150 individuals and legal entities, which fell under the restrictions. Brussels is going to freeze access to their assets. The new sanctions list includes the Russian military, enterprises of the military and industrial complex, private military companies, other individuals and organizations that operate in the field of technology and information, as well as individuals who were involved in organizing elections in new regions.
