The Russian language center will open at school No. 13 in Luoyang, China, as part of cooperation between the Belgorod State Technological University (BSTU) and the educational institution. The parties signed a memorandum of cooperation, Interfax reports.

The ceremony took place during the visit of the BSTU delegation to China. University staff visited the named school in Luoyang, which is the base school for teaching the Russian language in Henan province. Of 3,500 schoolchildren, about 300 study Russian.

BSTU is a partner of a number of leading universities in China; over 2,000 students from 70 countries study at the flagship university in the region.
