Guests of the Diplomatic Fair in Zambia, which was held for the 3rd time in Lusaka, tried Russian cuisine and listened to the songs from the Soviet era. The fair was organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Zambia, the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The event was attended by the Russian Embassy in Zambia and the Russian Center for Science and Culture (RCSC) in this country. The students of the RCSC classes and employees of the Russian diplomatic mission performed Soviet songs for the guests.

In August of this year, a Center for Open Education in Russian appeared in Zambia, created by the Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University with the assistance of the Russian Ministry of Education. Before the center was even launched, the organizers received almost 200 applications, which confirmed the great interest of young Zambians in the Russian language and Russian higher education.
