83 representatives of 26 countries took part in the 1st forum organized by the international Association of Russian Schools Abroad. The association was founded last summer on the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Education, the Center for International Cooperation reports on its telegram channel.

Representatives of Russian schools from Algeria, Spain, Turkey, Cambodia, Australia, India, Qatar, Cameroon, Finland and many other countries joined the forum in face-to-face and online formats.

According to Deputy Minister of Education Denis Gribov, about 27,000 schools and centers have been opened abroad, where the Russian language is taught, and other subjects are taught in Russian.
