Almost 50 countries have confirmed their participation in the Russia-Africa summit, TASS reports. The Department of Africa of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs  noted that about 50% of them will be represented at the highest level.

The department called this fact clear evidence that the countries of the African continent have not abandoned the course aimed at strengthening relations with Moscow. Even the aggressive pressure from the collective West could not shake their aspirations.

Russia continues to prepare for the large-scale forum. The organizers are coordinating the bilateral agenda, clarifying the schedule of Russian President Vladimir Putin. There are also final preparations for the signing of documents on cooperation with the Africans.

The 2nd Russia-Africa summit will take place on July, 27-28 in St. Petersburg. Its business program will combine four large sections: "Economy of the New World", "Integrated Security and Sovereign Development", "Cooperation in Science and Technology" and "Humanitarian and Social Sphere: Together to a New Quality of Life".

The forum program will include more than 30 large-scale events. Their main task is to deepen cooperation between Russia and Africa. The forum will also make it possible to outline the vector of development of relations for the long term.

It is also planned to hold a media forum, a congress of university rectors, a round table discussion with the participation of the supreme audit institutions of Russia and African states, events within the framework of the youth program, and much more.
